GETTING TO OUT ISLANDS - GREAT GUANA CAY

After you exit customs, taxis will be waiting to take you to the Guana Cay Ferry Dock, a short 10 minute drive through Marsh Harbour. We recommend Joe & Susan Knowles Taxi Service as they are hard working and have extra clean vans, plus they are super nice people and fair on their prices. You can call them before you leave Florida with your estimated arrival time and they will be there waiting and help with luggage etc. Also, if you want to stop at grocery or any other store, they will take you and wait while you shop. There is a GREAT bakery you will pass with fantastic homemade bread...even raisin bread (my favorite) Then on to ferry dock.

Then before you leave Guana Cay, call them from the house and tell them what ferry you'll be on and they will be there for trip to airport. Joe & Susan's phone numbers are: Home :242-367-3127, Joe cell: 242-359-6270, Susan cell: 242-475-6047. Tell them Steve Crandall from Guana Cay recommended them.

PLENTY TO EAT AND DRINK

Guana Cay is unspoiled by the rush and commercialization of many vacation islands, but offers the convenience of a fully stocked super market at Guana Harbour Grocery in the Settlement.  Fresh fish and lobster, in season, from local fisherman is a treat to get at Milo's Stand and he has the fresh vegetables and fruit to go with it.

Dining out has a variety too with relaxed ocean fun of Nippers Bar & Gril on a sand dune overlooking incredible turquoise waters and white powder sand with great food, island music and swimming pool.  For fancier fare, try Orchid Bay fine dining with walls of windows to capture the incredible view onf the Sea of Abaco.  Grabbers on the Sea of Abaco at Fishers Bay boasts good food, drinks, music and swimming pool for a real party atmosphere and a beautiful sunset.
